Researchers are getting ready to test a new bio-jet fuel for the US Air Force that is made from crop oils, according to the AP news report. They don’t mention WHICH crop is used to make the oils.
Ted Aulich, a senior researcher at the Energy and Environmental Research Center, said the new fuel is cheaper and more environmentally friendly than the leading conventional jet fuel.
He said the military is interested in the fuel because it could help reduce dependence on foreign oil.

I just read that Bush is pushing alternative fuels made from domestic corn, as corn requires a lot of petroleum to produce. This makes sense, as Bush is an oil man. I’m still checking out the details to see if this is true, and how much oil growing corn really requires. Could be a bit of a conspiracy theory, could be very true. Don’t want to be paranoid, but if Bush is pushing something, you can bet it has something to do with his personal gain…
