This hand crank powered washing machine requires no electricity.

This hand crank powered washing machine requires no electricity.

Millions of people throughout the world wash their clothes by hand and hang it out to dry. In developed countries, we use tons of energy in washing and drying our clothes in machines. We need to ask ourselves, are washing machines a necessity, or a luxury? There is no doubt about it, washing clothes by hand is a pain in the butt. Who has the time and energy these days?

Well, here is a happy alternative, the Wonder Wash hand powered compact washer. This is a hand cranked washer that uses high pressure to get your clothes super clean. In the process, you use up to 90% less water and detergent. It takes about 2 minutes to wash a 5 pound load, and requires no electricity. You may even find you’ll be spending a little less time at the gym!

You can also use organic bio-degrabable detergents with the Wonder Wash. Additionally this machine reduces the amount of lint produced by washing.

I would never buy from the Laundry Alternative again. The company could not care less about the environment and is simply trying to make a quick buck by convincing people they need to spend money on products that really don’t do much. I can do my laundry in the kitchen sink with just about the same about of work as using the wonder wash and spin dryer, and my clothes come out cleaner. The customer service is the absolute worst. So unprofessional and unhelpful. Please research the company before buying from them. THERE ARE MANY OTHER ANGRY CUSTOMERS OUT THERE WHO HAVE WRITTEN REVIEWS ON VARIOUS WEBSITES.

WONDER WASH IS GREAT- LAUNDRY-ALTERNATIVE.COM IS NOT!!!

I got a Wonder Wash from my sister a few years ago because we take long trips on our sailboat. It is wonderful! I have found that I also make very good use of it at home for small loads, and I love knowing that it is earth-friendly.

***However, I recently tried to order one for my in-laws as a Christmas gift, and aside from the initial confirmation that my order was received (nearly 2 weeks ago), I have had no further correspondence from laundry-alternative.com. I have contacted them via email twice and telephone twice, and still nothing. I see a review here stating that their customer service is the worst- it appears to me that they are non-existent.

Is there anyplace else where I can order this item & still possibly have it in time for Christmas???

Just found this for ya. I’d call first if it’s a Christmas gift.

I use my wonder wash every week. Have owned it for about three months or so. It’s a wonderful product that works well. I’ve had no problems with the laundry alternative website either. I ordered mine and it arrived about 10 days later.

yes they are great, i bought one a few years back and the PLASTIC handle broke. couldn’t get it welded back on?? i sure want another one but if they dont improve on those handles its not cost effective or practical for me. i broke after one months use.
compactappliance.com also sells wonderwash, i bought mine through “realgoods” catalog

Can I buy a manual washing machine. Will it be big enough to wash horse blankets (rugs)? Merriwa Jack
